Hello! My name is Kathryn Schlernitzauer and I am living my dream, daily, as a teacher at East Jessamine High School. During my undergraduates degree, at Eastern Kentucky University, I worked with many different age groups, but my passion is the impressionable high schoolers! I wake up each day excited to work with you:) Becoming a teacher means you are a life long learner; thus, I completed my Master's through Cumberlands University with my emphasis in Special Education. Through different professional development opportunities throughout the year, as well as pursuing my next degree, I plan on expanding my educational knowledge simply to benefit the students.
I began teaching as early as my first memories. As a child, my first students were my stuffed animals in front of an easel chalkboard. At the age of 10-12, I taught my little sister to read, write, and compute difficult mathematical equations before she was in kindergarten. Needless to say, I am daily living what I believe I was born to do. I am honored to teach EACH and EVERYONE of you!
